Description
Glycerine is a bi-product of the soap making process. Industrial soap makers strip out the Glycerines and sell it separately. By removing the natural glycerine from soap, what is actually left behind is no longer a soap, but a detergent. There is a huge market for Glycerine as it is used in cosmetics, toothpastes, shampoos, soaps etc. Glycerines is a natural humectant which means it draws moisture to the skin. Glycerine is also used in natural liquid soaps in place of water. Try adding it to lotions, creams, cleansers, hair care products, and soaps.
Our Vegetable Glycerines is a Kosher product derived from palm, and it is GMO-free and allergen-free. Glycerines is the result of a sophisticated extraction method called hydrolysis. This system is based on the fats and oils of a raw product (typically palm or coconut) that are then split into crude glycerol fats, under the combined action of water, temperature and pressure. These temperatures can exceed 400° degrees and the material is usually kept under pressure for 20-30 minutes.
